Meet Dr. Steiniger
Biography
Dr. Steiniger is a native of upstate New York. He graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science and went on to receive his medical degree from the University at Buffalo’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After medical school, he completed a five-year residency training program at the Albany Medical Center in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Throughout his residency, Dr. Steiniger prided himself on his clinical research endeavors, presenting his findings at numerous national and international otolaryngology conferences in the United States and Europe. During his final year in Albany, he served as chief resident and was recognized with the Steven Parnes Award, which is presented annually to the most outstanding resident.
Dr. Steiniger practices the comprehensive care of adult and pediatric disorders of the ears, nose, throat and related head and neck structures. He has a special interest in treating, both medically and surgically, diseases of the ear, sinuses and thyroid/parathyroid glands. He has received extra training in minimally invasive sinus surgery, otology (ear surgery) and allergy diagnosis and immunotherapy. In addition, he enjoys treating disorders of the voice.
Dr. Steiniger is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Steiniger is married with three children. He enjoys traveling, skiing and running.
